Every year I feel like the holidays sneak up on me. It’s fall, the leaves are changing and then bam! I’m trying to figure out what to wear to the first holiday party. Last weekend was that event for me - a holiday party and fundraising event for the high school I attended back in the day.

This year, I opted for a simple black dress with the show-stopping hemline and sleeves. To me, this Holiday Trim Dress was holiday perfection…. Simple little black dress, fancy enough to fit in with those party-goers in sequins and velvet and fur, comfortable to be in during cocktail hour and dinner and after, intriguing with the bits of fun at the bottom of the dress and sleeves, and economical on a budget (thanks to Monroe and Main)!

I feel like this dress can easily pull double or triple duty - worn to the first holiday party, maybe worn to your family Christmas event and then again to a New Year’s or even Valentine’s Day shindig. And with the design elements it’s super easy to accessorize. No need to wear a necklace. No need to come up with design-worthy tights. Just a bracelet or two and some great dangling earrings will easy complete the look.
