Day two of the BlogPOP Spring Fling giveaway event and I’ve got one of my all-time favorite things to giveaway today! Shaker & Spoon! This monthly subscription gives you nearly everything you’ll need to make bar-worthy cocktails from the comfort and ease of your kitchen - all your need to add is the alcohol.
In case you aren’t aware of this awesome subscription, each month features a different alcohol and three awesome drinks to try. The box, which arrives at the start of each month, includes all the additions you need to make a total of 12 drinks: bitters, syrups, lemons, limes, peppers, cucumbers, grapefruit peels, mint, etc… The box also comes with handy printouts, with detailed instructions on how to make the drink.
March was the Agave Blanco (aka Tequila) box! It arrived with all the necessary ingredients (except the tequila) including, cucumbers, dried chili peppers, agave syrup, limes, simple syrup, ginger beer, mexican spice syrup, mole bitters, hellfire tincture, tajin, etc…
The three drinks for this month were Old Oaxaca, Jefe del Pepino and Burro Buck.
Hands down, my favorite of this box was the Jefe del Pepino. There was just something so awesome about combining the freshness of a cucumber with the spice of a chili pepper. It was refreshing and delicious - totally something that would be perfect for a summer party or lounging by the pool.
The Old Oaxaca is for the true tequila lovers! It is a strong, mostly tequila, drink that needs to be slowly sipped. The addition of agave syrup helps cut the tequila’s potency without giving it too sweet of a taste.
For those that like sweeter drinks, the Burro Buck is your cup of tea. With the combination of tequila, ginger beer and limes, it is a sweet drink that reminded me more of a fruity cocktail or a margarita than the others did.

Did not know that this was founded in 2015. Fairly new, but the concept is very interesting!
I learned that the subscription is $40 but you can skip a month when you need to.
It’s such a cool subscription box and for only $40/ month! Very neat!
I like that they recommend what alcohol works well with each box and if you need any specific tools. I also like that you can skip s month if you choose to. This sounds like a fun subscription.
That you can do month to month or pay for 3 months worth at a time.
I like the original recipes included. I like to try new drinks.
