PinkBlush provided me with promotional items (kimono sweater and denim) in order to share my opinion on the company and it’s products. All opinions are my own.
One of the things I absolutely must have in an item that is being added to my closet it versatility. I don’t like items that can only be worn one way. I steer clear of items that tie me down to one look. So, when I’m shopping I always consider the possibilities of an item.
Take this blue paisley print knit kimono sweater from PinkBlush, for example. The easiest way to style it would be with a t-shirt and a pair of dark wash straight leg jeans, also from PinkBlush. It’s a casual and easy-to-create outfit. One that is pretty much fail proof and doesn’t take much thought to pull together in the morning. Styled this way, the kimono is perfect for weekend brunch or Friday night at the movies.
But that’s not the only way to style it. For work, I went ahead and wore it layered over a simple black sheath dress. Worn that way, the causal cotton kimono sweater suddenly becomes a dressy addition and perfectly fitted for the work week. Plus, the colors in this sweater allow it to be styled with all sorts of other items. As the weather begins to warm up, I plan on pairing it with my thin gray sheath dress, also making it work appropriate and seasonal.
For the Summer months, I can see this kimono paired with a pair of skinny cropped colored denim. Or perhaps with a pair of denim cut-offs.
See, versatility is the key!
PinkBlush was originally a maternity retailer but is now branching out to other markets including those of us who are not pregnant. This women’s online boutique has so many versatile items that can be easily mixed and matched, dressed up or dressed down.
Like this kimono sweater? You’re in luck. At the end of the Month, for the Spring Fling BlogPOP! event I’ll be giving away a gift card to PinkBlush, so you can snag one of your own or anything else that catches your fancy. Stay tuned for more details on the giveaway in the weeks ahead.

I think you should wear denim and cowboy boots every single day. You look amazing in that look with the kimono.

LOL. I do tend to wear these boots a lot. The students make fun at how often I’ve had them on these last couple weeks - with and without denim.
