So, I thought winter was over. I enthusiastically packed away my winter clothing and put it in a spare closet with plans of not looking at it again for a couple months. And then the temperatures dropped back down to the 40s and it’s freezing - maybe not literally but it feels like it. And as if the cold temperatures weren’t enough, the days have been mostly rainy and overcast. Somehow 40* doesn’t feel so intense if the sun is at least shining.
This chilly weather has meant layering is still an essential component for getting ready in the morning, and it also means I’ve needed to be creative with some of my items in order to come up with looks that aren’t exactly winter looking, but as still going to keep me warm.
Pants: Lilla P
Blouse: Kohls
Vest: Forever21
Boots: ModCloth
Earrings: Stella & Dot
This outfit is a combination of items that work in multiple seasons and a couple pieces that I usually confine to the winter months. The booties are my favorite but seem to be meant for the winter. Of course I pulled them back out of the chest all my boots were moved into a couple weeks ago. The pants are thinner material. I wear them on occasion in the winter, usually with tights underneath for warmth, but they are usually a spring and summer pair. The blouse, while thin is more of a winter floral, so I tend to not wear it too much in the summer months and only on occasion in the spring. The vest is a year-round item in my closet, because I pretty much have been in love with it since it entered my closet some 5 years ago.

Yep the weather doesn’t know WHAT it is doing at the moment. I’m living half out of my summer wardrobe and half my winter (or rather the left and right doors of my small wardrobe haha). Fabulous blouse, really brightens up a cool day layers.
You look unbeleavable! Your style looks effortless on you! Idk about you, but I think heels are just you in a nutshell! It’s like you should be wearing them everyday with every outfit casually or dressy. I’ve seen same outfits with flats and was like ehhhh but then the same outfit with heel and it goes to a whole new level like wow!
Aww. Thanks. I agree that these booties are so me. And I do love heels, even if they make me 6 feet tall. LOL
