NYFW Blogger Parties

by katyrose on February 13, 2012

I ended up going to New York this weekend on some business, but it happily managed to coincide with two parties aimed specifically at fashion bloggers – LuLu’s Style Studio and Bloggers Night Out. What timing! I made plans to meet up with several of the lovely bloggers that I met in September so I spent the evening party hopping with Alex of Delayed Missives, Jamillah of Made 2 Travel and Nnenna of Star Crossed Smile. (Alex took all the pictures that night, so of course she isn’t in any of them.)

The Lulu’s event was first on the docket. We filled a tote with free swag… lip gloss, nail polish, chocolate, pop chips, etc.. And the best part? The event included the ability to take home one free thing from Lulu’s! I managed to score an adorable yellow purse. Can’t wait to start using that this spring.

From there we headed to Bloggers Night Out. This event was insanely packedĀ  with bloggers. There were a lot of familiar faces but the venue was so packed that it was difficult to maneuver around enough to talk to people. I did manage a few drive-by hellos. Sorry to anyone I missed. The goodie bags at the end included a water bottle, several random sample products and the best part… a giftcard to TJMaxx/Marshals!! Sweet!

What I wore? I’ll be honest, not too much thought went into this because I wasn’t even sure I would have the time to attend. I did go with the ultra wide-leg pants I picked up for free from Macy’s thanks to a Klout perk. The leopard print shirt is oversized so knotted was the best option. An orange belt some coordinating jewelry and I was done.

Pants: Macy’s (thanks to Klout perk)
Shirt: Forever21
Belt: H&M
Rings: H&M
Shoes: Payless
Scarf: H&M

I really very seriously like these pants. They almost look like a maxi skirt!
