I’m rough on my feet. I admit it. Really rough.
Marathon training is tough on everyone’s feet and mine are no different. Even switching the shoes I wear to run every day in order to make sure my feet are protected properly from all the pavement pounding, isn’t enough. They are sometimes blistered after a long run, or a run in which I forgot to pack my socks in my gym bag. (Yes, I’ll run without socks rather than go back home for socks.)
Beyond frequent workouts, I’m also one of those people who prefers to go barefoot outdoors in the summer months. If I can get away with being barefoot I will, which is awesome and freeing but also tough on my feet.
When shoes are a must, usually I’m in a cute pair of sandals or heels, or cute heeled sandals. None of those are particularly loving to my feet. And while I usually avoid blisters even when in heels for an entire day, my feet are still taking a beating.
I don’t take much time to take care of them. Previously, in the summer months I’ve kept my toenails painted, but that’s about it for maintenance. But this year, I vowed to take better care of my feet; to take the time to make them smooth and beautiful.
What does that entail? So far, it’s all about moisturizing at night and using the Amopé Pedi Perfect Electronic Nail File to make them feel utterly smooth and amazing! I’ve never thought of my feet as something soft, but with this little gadget, I’m changing that perception.
Previously, the only time I’ve felt my feet this smooth was after an intense spa day in which the lovely lady working on my feet took some serious time scrubbing away the rough areas. But now I can do that from home. The Amopé Pedi Perfect buffs away hard skin to leave it feeling baby soft in a matter of a few minutes. The file rotates over the dead skin, whisking it away to leave smoothness in its wake. Plus, since this doesn’t contain any blades or sharp edges, I felt totally comfortable using this myself.
Amopé Pedi Perfect also makes a Nail Care System – which is the next thing I’m going to try in my eternal endeavor to take care of my fingernails and continue growing them out to be amazing.
I grabbed both of these from CVS with this coupon, which allowed me to take $15 off one of the Amopé Pedi Perfect items – bringing the price down to $21.99.
How do you take care of your feet in the summer months? Have you tried the Amopé Pedi Perfect Electronic Nail File? Go ahead and grab your own with this coupon.
