Running Plans – an FBFF Post

by katyrose on February 8, 2013

This week I am actually going to write the post I meant to compose last week and never got around to. HA!

For 2013 I have some big running goals. If you have been reading this blog for awhile you might know that I ran the Chicago marathon a few years back, followed by half marathons in St. Louis and Providence, RI. I’ve also done a couple fun runs like the Arlington Heights Santa Run. Last year my marathon running tapered off as did my usual weekly runs. And when I say tapered off, I mean stopped pretty much altogether for about 9 months. BOO. I hope to get back into the swing of working out and running during 2013.

Here’s a list of runs I’m hoping to have under my belt by the end of the year:

Eventually I’d love to run the Ragner Relay and do a Warrior Dash or a Tough Mudder. But all of those will require more training and a lot of prior planning.

Do you have any races, fun runs, marathons on the calendar for this year? Leave a comment and let me know what you have planned.

Honestly, Warrior Dash isn’t that bad. Other than leisurely riding my bike every day, I didn’t train for it at all and I’m faaaaar from what could be considered the physique for an ideal athlete. I say, if you’re good to compete for the other races you’re looking to enter this year, you’ll be in perfect shape for the Dash. And do it! It’s sooooo much fun!
