As much as I love the falling leaves and bright colored trees, and as much as I am looking forward to boots and sweaters; I’m still trying to squeeze the last drops of warm weather out of the days. When the morning recently dawned bright and sunny I knew this might be my last chance to wear this polkadot dress. I’m tempted to find a cold weather alternative look with it, but the material is so thin that I don’t think that will be possible.
Since the dress is a very muted gray and even the white dots are not that vibrant, I opted to wear a bold pink cropped cardigan with it to create more of a statement. I kept the shoes basic with white wedges and the jewelry I kept similarly simple. Now that I look at the pictures I think the outfit needs a simple necklace, but other than that I liked this look a lot.
Tip: When working with clothing that is mostly muted colors go for one bold accent to create a more stunning visual, without overwhelming the entire look.

I agree that a necklace would have been a nice touch as well, but you do look beautiful. The pink cardigan is perfect!

Ahhh me too! I think tomorrow’s going to be the last day for anything sort of summery. I’m planning on sandals.
