I know this outfit might not be considered something that every woman can wear in a professional setting. It is a little to rocker chic for some uber-conservative places but for those that are in more creative fields, I think this is totally appropriate and fun. The jacket still gives the bold skirt and high heels a polished look. The scarf adds an extra added dimension, especially with the unusual knot tie.
The one issue I have with this skirt, and others like it, is the ease with which is wrinkles. I made sure to really iron it out that morning, pressing out every single crease and slight wrinkle. But a couple hours of moving around and sitting down and suddenly it is wrinkled and looking like I hadn’t even taken the time to iron it at all. The skirt is almost better suited for a day when you know you’ll be standing all day.
Tip: Even if it is a pain, take the time to iron or steam your clothing before wearing it. The little extra time spent will make you look more polished. And NEVER iron your clothes after you have worn them but before washing. You can iron dirt and stains right into the fabric.
