Cobalt and Coral

Maybe my pending move back to the Midwest has me thinking about local sports teams. Or perhaps it is the fantasy football league my family has every year. But whatever the reason I’m really going all out for cobalt and coral this summer (It’s pretty similar to the Chicago Bears and Illini colors in case you aren’t aware of Illinois sports teams.)

This dress is a staple in my closet. Heck it even won me a pair of Bakers shoes thanks to an Instagram contest. But while I’ve worn it in a number of different ways I had yet to try it with coral. This jacket had just the right amount of structure and feminine touches to go with the dress, especially since it has a whole lot of fabric. The scarf added some contrasting colors and of course I went with my coral wedges, which I am still in love with 3+ years after purchasing.

Do you have a dress that you automatically feel more beautiful and feminine when you put it on? This dress does that for me. The fitted waist (which is hidden by the jacket in this look), the full skirt, the fact that it flows when I twirl (not that I do that much)… it all adds up to one great dress. I wish I had it in a dozen different colors.

Tip: For days when you are feeling down or dowdy slip on your most feminine feeling dress and remember to smile.
