In my last few days in the Boston area I took advantage and did a few things that I won’t be able to do out in the Midwest. I spent a day on Martha’s Vineyard. I hiked up Mt. Monadnock one last time. What a way to go out!
Back in June when my sister Emily came to visit we braved the horrible weather and spent a day biking Martha’s Vineyard. It wasn’t warm. It wasn’t sunny. But it was still fun. But this time around the weather was glorious! Some friends and I took the ferry over and then bought an all-day bus pass to be able to jump on and off in order to fully explore the island. The day couldn’t have been more perfect, especially since we got to watch the sun set as we were on the ferry heading back to the mainland!
Later that week I strong-armed two friends into taking the longest trail up and down Mt. Monadnock! I’m climbed this mountain four other times, but this was the best time for both scenery and weather. I marveled at the surrounding beauty with each step.
And of course, this is what I looked like most of the time….
