Last week I was sitting at dinner with some of the residents and one of them asked me if I collected watches. I laughed at the idea, considering 16 month ago I never would put one on in the morning and was perfectly content to check my phone for the time. But now, I suppose I am becoming somewhat of a watch collector. I love that they can be treated like other accessories, paired with bracelets, coordinated with outfits, etc…
Now, when picking a watch I try and find one that is unlike the others I have. WatchCo offered me the chance to try one of their watches. Their collection and selection was huge, making it a very difficult decision to hone in on one that I HAD to try. I ended up focusing in on the assortment of DKNY Watches and picking one that is unlike anything I currently own. I was a little concerned that the rose gold and white band would be difficult to work with and pair with outfits, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how easy it is to wear. Plus, I love that this watch has the date as part of the design. I never realized how helpful that would be. I find myself glancing down at my other watches to ascertain the date before realizing they don’t all have that great feature.
I did have to get a few links taken out since I have an unusually small wrist. But that was an easy process – 5 minutes at a mall kiosk.

Whoa! That’s a nice watch! And yes- they are jewelry and should coordinate with your outfits as such. I used to sell watches so I’ll always have a soft spot for them.

I don’t typically wear wrist watches because I have two wee ones that would mess with them, lol. It looks really stylish, though, I’ll have to pick up watch-wearing again once my kiddos are past the grabby hands stage, lol.

sorry, one quick question. do you find that the white in the watch makes it look cheap and plastic-like? I’ve been really attracted to some watches with the white ceramic, but worried that it may dress down the outfit too much? what are your thoughts? =)

but I am currently obssesed with the rosegold watch as well too. I thought that only Michael Kors carried them, and was debating whether or not I should buy one. Like you, I never thought of myself ever wearing a watch, but now watches are so beautiful and such a great accessory addition that the outfit jsut wouldnt be complete without a watch. They’re so expensive though..so I’m choosing carefully before I make my first watch purchase. Thanks for psoting on the DKNY watch!
