This past winter I was asked to participate in a blogger challenge for the launch of ABC Family’s Jane By Design. The weekly challenges were so fun that when I was asked to be part of the Project Runway Fashion Blogger Network I jumped at the opportunity. I don’t know what’s in store for the weeks ahead but I’m thrilled to be participating. I always like opportunities that allow me to expand the base of things covered on ModlyChic and stretch my creative side. (photo from the Project Runway gallery.)
To be honest, in the past I’ve only caught smidgens of Project Runway, never a whole season. It will be interesting to follow this all the way through. Plus, I’m excited to see Michael Kors, a personal favorite designer, is part of the show.(I’ve never been much of a TV viewer. Is that weird?)
Have you been keeping up with the previous nine seasons? Let me know what’s your favorite part of the show, things I should be looking out for, etc… Did you catch the first episode of this season? Who are you rooting for?

I love Project Runway! I have watched most of the seasons, but I don’t have cable, so I have to remember to catch it online. I just love seeing what the designers come up with, and how they deal with the crazy challenges and timelines. In the past few seasons, I’ve gotten a little bit tired of all the drama they try to create with the contestants, but I suppose the network is afraid it would be boring if they didn’t have all the background sob stories.

I love Tim, he is best. I have a book by him I heart him so much. I love when designers use vintage style or materials, usually someone has that vibe each season. So neat for you~

I’ve only recently gotten in to Project Runway and really enjoy it. I often watch with my friend Chrissi, and a bottle of wine. We usually watch on DVR or On Demand, so we frequently pause to look at an outfit, or rewind to see details. Or laugh. We both enjoy the cattiness of some of the designers, and like to “buzzword” certain things they say, like “this piece really speaks to me” haha. We also take GREAT delight in, during eliminations, yelling “GET OUT!!” in the style of Arnold Schwarzenegger as we critique the looks we don’t like. I think we’d scare some people during our watching, actually LOL!

I have watched most of the past couple of seasons of Project Runway and still enjoy the show. I had heard about the show during its first few seasons when I didn’t have cable. After discovering that episodes are posted online, I am much more likely to watch it going forward.

I’m watching them all online this year, since I don’t have the time to watch them in TV when they originally show! Thank goodness for the online option. I’ll have to tap your expertise throughout the season.
Congratulations. This event is perfect for you and I hope you can meet and shake hands Michael Kors.
