Dress Shirts for Casual Days

by katyrose on July 12, 2012

I love the current trend of dressy shirts being worn everyday. Gone are the days of a plain t-shirt or even an embellished one. Now we are opting for material that flows and feels dressy while still being utterly comfortable. This shirt, with its bright orange color and box-like shape, had me a little stumped as to how to wear it. I decided the best best was to try cinching the waist and wearing it with a more fitted bottom. Initially, I tried it tucked into a polka-dot skirt that poofed out. That combination was not flattering.

I’m looking forward to trying this shirt in a variety of combinations especially on the stifling hot days, since it is cool and easy to wear.

Tip: When a shirt lacks shape make sure to pair it with a bottom (pants or skirt) that has a more fitted look in order to create a silhouette.

What about you? Are you loving the dressy blouse for everyday wear?

Hello there! It’s nice to see you again.. well, don’t take this personally but I like seeing you in a dress rather than in blouse and skirt. Though I love your orange blouse and shoes!
