I have a confession to make. I have NEVER made a purchase from Talbots. In fact I have been a little anti-Talbots. Back in the day, I saw the store as a little old-lady like. But a couple weeks ago I took someone out shopping and we ended up at Talbots. The very first thing I noticed was the vast array of colors on display. It was full of greens, pinks, yellows. So fun and summery. The woman I was shopping with needed a major wardrobe over-haul and so I started pulling dozens of things from the shelves and racks for her to try on. As I worked my way through the store I came across these pants and immediately knew if I tried on nothing else that day I would be trying these pants on. So fun. So summery. So unique. I tried them on, fell in love and had to get them.
Talbots this season managed to change all my per-conceived notions about the store and it’s content. These pants are great quality. They fit excellently. They feel amazing. And even more surprisingly they go with any number of colors. I can’t wait to get to mixing and matching these.
(This outfit I wore to the Keds event at Lord and Taylor where three great fashion bloggers were squaring off to fashion styles around the new Keds line. I also managed to make it to the French Connection book signing event for Apron Anxiety that night! And then I zipped to the airport to pick up visiting family! Whew! Tip: Do yourself a favor and try out a store you previously swore you would never shop in. You might be surprised by what you find.

True story – I like Talbots. I really do – they have great (ahem) classic pieces. Mr. TBF always makes fun of me – “Oh, look it’s your grandma store clothes”….but what do men know about style, really?
