In the past I have worn this animal print dress with only the accent of a bold red necklace. I loved the look, but I realize not everyone is ready t wear an all animal print dress out in public. And while many may like the trend, I’m heard from several readers that they are afraid of wearing it themselves.
So, how do you tone animal print down to make it more versatile?
Think layers! By adding a top (jacket/sweater) that you are very comfortable with can be a great way to tone down an animal print dress, while getting used t the look. Still not sure about that? Add a scarf that will mask some more of the print and draw the eye to that instead. This orange scarf – pretty much my favorite closet addition this winter – is perfect for that. The unique design and orange color helps to negate the animal print. And finally go with very basic dark legs.
PS Can you tell I am trying to wear lipstick? It’s a work in progress – BIG TIME!
Tip: Go ahead, give animal print a try. You can find a way to wear it – I promise.
