Jane Inspired Outfits

by katyrose on January 19, 2012

I know the Jane By Design challenge is over, but every time I watch the show I can’t help but think of all the ways I could recreate the looks Jane wears on the show. Polyvore is a gold mine, especially when I can’t recreate the looks using just my own closet. (And a sidenote rant… I hate Billy with Lulu. UGH!!  Please can that end asap?)

My favorite look from episode two:

I love how completely differently you went from their look. You still captured the idea but made it for you. So often when people do the “get this look” they try to recreate exactly what the celebrity is wearing : I like this much better

Thanks Rachel. I tried to capture the essence of the outfit but give it my own spin, much as you would if you were trying to copy a celebrity style using your own closet.

This show has become one of my favorites! Her outfits are always so bright and bold, and while I couldn’t do heels like that every day, it does make me want to add more color to my wardrobe. I love these outfits that you put together, Katy!

I love how almost all of her outfits use black tights/leggings as the base and then add color to that. It’s a look that is so doable. Now all I need is some colorful items to work with.

Hey!! I love the looks you’ve created!! One of my friends actually works for ABC family and she’s already seen the entire first season! She sent me the first couple of episodes, but I haven’t had a chance to watch yet. I think I’ll watch tonight. :) I love the statement necklace in that first look from the show- gorgeous!!

I would love to see the whole season. It would be interesting to see how it all plays out. You can watch episodes for free on the ABC Family website, as well as Hulu. I think iTunes has them too. The clothing is the best part about watching the show.

I am one of the many followers of the show….and its wardrobe. You really captured the essence of the wardrobe above. Where can I find the pieces on the second picture? It looks awesome and so me!

Thanks!

Golda – If you click on my picture it will take you to the Polyvore site which will give you the full list of where to find each item and the price. I’m a big fan of the show too.
