Outfit 4 of 30 – When I was in college Harley Davidson celebrated some big anniversary and there was a week long motorcycle festival. I wish I had that jacket back then. But alas I didn’t so I did my best, put on leather boots, blue jeans, a black tee, painted a tattoo around my arm and went with friends to watch the parade. Crazy weekend.
Anyway, random comment, I know. It just struck me as I was beginning to create this post. Sorry.
The outfit started out as something different. Unlike some of the other 30 for 30 bloggers I haven’t made a calendar of outfits so they come about a little willy-nilly. Originally I thought about wearing my black pants, this shirt and the jean jacket. But then that morphed into preferring jeans and of course I cannot wear a jean jacket with jeans (I haven’t managed to pull that look off yet. Props to you if you can). So then the jean jacket got hung back up and the fake leather jacket came out. Yay!
Oh and this jacket is one of those amazing steals. I think last year or the year before it retailed at New York & Co. for almost $100. But I caught it at the VERY end of the season and bought it for $10. Sweet.
Tip: If you aren’t in desperate need for something, wait till the end of the season and get it for a steal!

I need to jet out of the office at 2 to get hair and make-up done and run through the show with outfit changes. The clothing comes from Turtle, a boutique shop on Tremont. I get to showcase this adorable red wrap dress as well as these amazing high-waisted pants. Crazy! I know.

love today's look! and you are going to do so great in the runway show! the Sip N Swap was like your practice run
can't wait to see you.
Great look! Those (trouser?) jeans look like they would flatter any shape, I absolutely love them! And great job on getting that hip jacket at such a great price, I want it so bad!
Casual but put together – I love it! I have a leather jacket, but I tend to reserve it for dressier looks for a couple reasons. First, I had tried on 2 jackets with my parents, and they bought the wrong one. Second, I dropped about 20 pounds just after they gave it to me, so I either need a structured jacket underneath it, to fill it out a bit more, or layer some scarves to disguise the bigness. In the illusive future when I have "money", I do want to get it tailored to fit, and maybe add some more zippers to make it a bit more badass, because I'm loving yours!!
I love the jacket! I was scrolling down to see who made it and I was surprised to see NY&Co! That's awesome, so affordable and cute :0) Looking good for day 4!
What a great steal on the jacket.
Break a leg tonight!!!!
I love the jacket, too — not to mention yesterday's dress!
Put up some photos from the fashion show please! Love the flyer.
What a great jacket…amazing find.
Good luck with the fashion show!
I love the asymmetrical zip on the jacket – what a great deal!!
Great outfit! I'm jealous of your jacket. And for $10 bucks? What a steal! I drooled over the perfect asymmetrical zip jacket last winter. It went on sale over the summer so I jumped but it didn't fit properly. Ended up being too big/long.
Oh well!
YOu completely ROCK that jacket!!! What a fabulous find.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this! the jacket is unbelievable. You're really rocking it lady!
Great jacket! Looks so good with your trousers. I wish I could go to the fashion show! Sounds like a lot of fun
