I took the day off yesterday and truly celebrated Labor Day with an all-out 50-person BBQ! It’s funny to live in the city and try to use a grill. The neighbors probably weren’t too excited with me for all the smoke we created trying to get the darn coals lit, but the burgers were great and the company even better. Hopefully you all got to celebrate too. The blogger profiles will return as normal next Monday.
This skirt is one of those that I feel looks better in the closet than it does on me. I tend to stay away from full skirts and go for more a-line looks, but a couple years ago this pattern just called my name. I’m never quiet sure how to wear it since the colors aren’t really my thing either. Although, the approaching fall weather has me considering new ways of remixing it for the cooler weather. Maybe boots and a longer sweater? Or perhaps I will take this skirt to the swapaholics meet-up at the end of the month. Hm…. interesting. We’ll see.
Tip: Wear what you have in your closet or give it away.

Oooh, I love that skirt! All the colors seem like they'd give lots of options for different outfits.
Glad you had a fun BBQ!
I love the full skirt! Plus all the pieces you used together with it really worked.
Totally cute skirt! New York & Co is one of my favorite stores! You handled the color pairing quite well! Full skirts are a lot of fun, especially if they have a cute pattern!

i love that necklace and skirt, so cute. i totally agree with that advice too, i've been doing that for a few years and it keeps my closet pretty streamlined
I like the skirt but I have to be careful of fullness because they can make me look wider.
