Easter Dresses for Less

by katyrose on March 17, 2010

Easter is just around the corner, and for many of us that is reason enough to get a new Spring dress. When I used to work retail, I really was surprised by the number of women who came in desperately searching for that perfect spring-inspired dress.

The trends in stores now include lots of floral patterns, one-shoulder creations and tons of sheath dresses.

Here are some of my personal favorites…

Dresses Under $200:

Calvin Klein Brushstroke Dress at Macy’s. Retails for $129.00
Silk Bold Shadow Flower Dress from Ann Taylor. Retails for $168

Dresses Under $100:

Rachel Roy Zipper Trimmed Dress at Macy’s. Retails for $81.75

Grecian Green Dress from ModCloth. Sells for $89.99

Bugle Boy from Shabby Apple. Retails for $98.00

Shakespeare Garden by Shabby Apple. Retails for $76.00
(Sidenote: I have an affiliate program set-up with Shabby Apple. If you’d like to purchase one of their dresses please use this link: Dresses from Shabby Apple Thank you.)

Nicole Miller Fitted Empire Waist Dress from JCPenney. Sells for $59.99

Double Button Placket Shirtdress from The Limited. Retails for $89.50
(sidenote: I tried this dress on last week and was surprised at how well it fit and how flattering it was. If it wasn’t for my extremely long legs, which made it look like I was in a mini-dress, I would have purchased it.)
Breezy Petals Dress from Ann Taylor Loft. Sells for $79.50

Dresses Under $50:

Alyx Inset Waist Sheath Dress from JCPenney. Retails for $49.99

Madame Valpins Dress from Francesca’s Collections. Retails for $44.00

Here Comes the Sundress from Fancesca’s Collections. Sells for $38.00

Are you buying an Easter dress this season? What style are you leaning toward?

That first dress! Sigh, I love it! Seeing as I'll still be pregnant, my cute dress options are limited. Would a Maxi dress be too summery or hippie-ish?

Isn't that one great?
You can totally get away with a Maxi dress. Just dress it up with a great necklace and a cute jacket or sweater.

Seriously. I want to drive to Macy's RIGHT NOW, lol.

Awesome! I've been wondering that for a while, you were the perfect person to ask! Will be on the hunt for a cute necklace, thanks!
