Please no leggings as pants!

by katyrose on January 19, 2010

My Tiger Print blog post on how leggings should not be worn as pants is getting some interesting comments from readers. ModlyChic readers, what do you think about the issue? Here’s what I wrote:

Let’s get one thing straight. Leggings are not pants. They aren’t meant to be pants. They should not be worn as pants (no matter what the fashion mags are saying). They are not pants.

Yesterday I was at the mall and ended up walking behind a handful of girls. Each one had on a pair of leggings, and each mistakenly was under the impression they had on pants. It’s not a pretty site to be stuck behind a group like that.

Don’t get me wrong – I love leggings. But they are meant to be an outfit accent not a main article of clothing.

I'm torn on this topic. I used to agree with you completly, but I recently purchased a pair of jeggings that look amazingly like jeans. Even still I've only wore them around the house and to the movies. No-where to public yet!

The jeggins are a little better, but I'm still all for them being worn with a longer shirt. So many people have bubble butts in jeggings and leggings and it's so not flattering.

Two words: Camel toe. Forget the bubble butt, this is why girls should not wear leggings as pants!

Hi! I know this is kind of off-topic however I had to ask. Does running a well-established website like yours require a lot of work? I’m completely new to writing a blog however I do write in my diary every day. I’d like to start a blog so I can easily share my experience and feelings online. Please let me know if you have any ideas or tips for brand new aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!Raleigh Roofing, 3221 Durham Dr., #101-C, Raleigh, NC 27603 – (919) 701-6300
